1. "Center the ball and reverse it to action"
While running an odd front offense (5 out, 3 out), emphaze centering the ball to the top of the key with the dribble or pass. Once the ball is centered, run action that leads to reversing the ball.
**The key - Don't dictate the action it takes to center or reverse the ball.**
Coaches dictating every step of the way leads to the "paralysis by analysis" we are trying to avoid. Focus your attention on teaching players when to start the action on the backside and how to read the defense.
2. Run designed actions that have a common ending
**The key - Find one action to focus on and build your set movement to get you to your focal point.**
Instead of struggling with 5-10 situations, allow your players to be great at reading and playing out of one common ending.
Example Action - Set action to Hi-Low
